Post recent pictures of your Mazda!

deer crossing the road in front of us making us come to a stop lol.
Everyday here. I live in the woods and I'm constantly dodging dogs, squirrels, rabbits, possums, raccoon, skunks, turkeys, buzzards, turkey-buzzards, groundhogs, cows, sometimes coyotes, and if I'm in the mountains, maybe even a bear. Not to mention the road kill, don't wanna hit that. It's more rare not to see an animal when driving. At night, deer stand on the side of the road usually in groups of about 10

HID's cover the distance and animals off to the side of the road. It gets foggy here a lot too. Fogs don't do much other than illuminate the immediate ground in front of me. By time I see anything with the fogs I have little reaction time to do anything about it

Cam, i hear ya, i live in the mountains/woods here too and have that all the time. Except we do not have quite as many deer as the shenandoah national park lol. Umm the fogs do help some, because with the bixenons on high beam, and the fogs pointed a bit up it fills in the void and its a constant area of light quite a bit out from the car, but the corners are what make spotting them hard at times. Deer always cross at the worst possible spots

Scared the crap out of the lawnmower lol

As for animals, my car becomes a moose and just moves animals out of the road

Yeah, the HID's piss some people off at night, but it's a must for me. I live outside of the city limit and have no street lights. Once I get towards town where everything is lit with yellow street lights, my 8k light blue lights seem invisible. Yellow is obviously higher on the Lumens range since it is lower on the Kelvin scale and that overpowers the visibility of my headlights on the road. If I drive with my yellow fogs on I adjust to it and can't see where my blue/white light is, turn in the fogs off and immediately everything is visible. I dunno if this happens to everyone, I'm partially color blind and have a hard time with some things

3000k - Pure Yellow
4300k - OEM - Yellow w/White
5000k - Pure White
6000k - White with blue
8000k - Pure Blue

4300k is going to give you the most light output........
Anything higher than 8000k is worthless, becuase the higher you reach the Kelvin scale, the less light lumens......

I run 5k and love em. Pure white and I was able to adjust my headlights so they cast out farther. Couldn't be happier with em.

one of my favorite recent pics. My nephews playing in my car after I had taken them for a joy ride... one at a time of course lol.

I like nice white headlights and colored fogs. Mine are yellow. I think my brother is going to do purple with his.

Very nice, thats a proper comparison chart.
makes me wonder why people still do the higher light contrasts tho. styling?

Indeed. I've seen red lights, purple, and green. Makes me think of the Avengers lol. Red and anything past 8k blue is illegal since they mock police lights. 8k iceberg blue like I have is acceptable now since most new cars with fansy-schmansy headlights have this same blue/white color. I saw a 240sx on the highway with 3k headlights and they were BRIGHT!
