another protege

Hello all My name is Steve, Im 29 and from Ohio. I have bought and sold this car now a couple of different times. this is my forth time owning this car. the car is a 92 Mazda Protege with really no extras. the car has 215,000 miles and still rus great..I dont have any pics right now but I will post some later!

This is my '92 LX, soon to be track car. It ran a 16.08@85.41 before the new intake and exhaust.

I bought intrax lowering springs and new gr2 struts. In hard turns the mud flaps scrape. The motor definitely breaths better with the full exhaust and rx7 vaf (and revs faster in the upper rpms), although it feels as though I have lost torque.
 
you're going to need silicon sealer and a small flat head. pry the door off the top, while the car is on depending on the settings of the rx7 you need to turn it either way. go until your idle smooths even after blipping the throttle. you have enough teeth inside (you'll see when you open it) to get pretty hard core about it. you can also advance the timing at the distributor and get a couple of hp'ssss out of it. Remember to run higher octane if you do that

I have already done these things, but I feel that it is still not tuned enough. Can I use a wide band to tune it even more? It idles perfectly, I'm just looking for a couple more HP.
 
While I haven't been on here much, I think I'll post my car, my 1992 protege lx enduro car. It's only had 1 race on it so far, but hopefully I'll be able to do more later this year.

my 91 323, its taken a back seat to my msp but I still love it, such a fun car and taught me a lot

basic list of whats done
gtx swap with a vf11 hybrid
corksport downpipe and 2.5inch exhaust
98 zx2 front subframe with larger sway bar
95 Escort GT rear subframe/disc brakes
95 EGT front brakes
zx2 sr struts and megan springs

ran a 14.7 @ 99mph awhile back at 8psi, first time to the track, horrible tires and I had no idea what I was doing
