my front tire is seperating, so i want to replace it...my question is, should i get one dunlop, and have three tires with approx 20k miles on them, and one new one...OR...should i get two tires(kuhmo esctas?) and wear out the other dunlops on the front, with the new tires on the back for now

other "cheap" tire recommendations are welcome as well.

keep in mind that i can not afford to replace all four tires at once!

I would just get 2 Kumhos. That way your treadwear is even on each side. Also, you'd have one less Dunlop to worry about failing. I had Kumhos on my ES and they were pretty nice. They had a lot better wet traction than the Dunlops.

You can get dunlops for $100 or so. Just go w/ that. But get 215/40/17's instead.

But only get 2.

don't run the tires with diffrent amounts of wear on them if you can help it. It really throws stuff off, or at least it did with me. If you could afford it, I'd go with the new Pirelli P7000's...I just got some, and they make such a big diffrence in handling. Only problem is they wear too quickly.
