That freaking sucks man, I know I couldn't go but I know some people accepted the invite on facebook. Kind of f'ed up not to give a heads up instead of standing you up. Sorry to hear that, hopefully we have better luck next time.
It was a totally stupid thing. I hit a curb about 5 weeks ago and the dealership kept finding more and more problems, finally last week they decided the entire power steering system needed replaced for around $4k so that pushed it over to being totaled. I'm going to just buy it back from the insurance as a salvage and fix it. Its totally fine except for the power steering not working now.
