Pontiac GTO vs Supercharged Honda S2000

the new gto imo looks like a family car not american muscle. hardtop s2k even though slower stock for stock is my choice.

Sure the GTO looks like a family car. A low slung, 2 door, RWD, 400 hp V8 powered beast of a family car. You've got to be kidding me.

If the GTO is a family car, then the S2k is akin to a riding lawn mower. Heck its got about the same amount of torque as well. :)

I'll get pics when the weather clears up.
You in tornado alley? You are in TX right?

Anyway, can you give us some details... paint a pic w/ words!

I am sure it is going to look awsome no matter if it is new or old!
Anyway excellent choice on the make 'n' model.

To all the other GTO owners reading this thread...
What kind of numbers are/were you getting for 0-60, 1/4mi, MPG, and so on? Don't forget to mention liter size and if MT or AT.

Just want to get an idea for where mine sits for performance and economy!

Im not to far behind ladies and gents.. as soon as i get the car back stock time to trade her in for either an impluse blue a spittin yellow or a nice good ol black GTO im reallying aimming for the 2005 if i can get the stealership under 22,000 for 1 with 8.5k for my trade in

Only thing I would say is NOT the blue, it is the most common color thus leave value later- so a friend (who's a dealer) told me, yellow with go-faster stripes or the black -my fav- is where I would -and did- put my money!

But hey no matter the color, you are going to be behind the wheel of one hot and sexy car.

I would love to join the GTO owners club but the wife and I don't make nearly enough to justify plunking down the cash for one. All our monies are going into home improvement projects right now plus her Protege and my P5 will both be paid off in 2 years so I just have to sit back and suffer while you guys have all the LS2 powered fun!!!! Someday..........

Horriblehow come the S2000 loses so badly off-the-line

Looks worse than Turbo lag

I would put no stock in that video, anyone who has driven the GTO knows that this driver never worked the car one bit, or the car has a serious malfunction.

Most people don't want to drop the clutch at 6000+ RPMs. VTEC cam doesn't even switch until 6k rpm in AP1 S2000s.
