ponder with me :)

Hey, all... first of all i do have to admit that the bra looks hella gay... but its worth it looking gay to save ur hood... yes ur hood only... why is this? well i put 60,000 miles on my P5 in a year and a half. take it form me i've been up and down the whole I-5 freeway at least 4 times and use to drive 100 miles (one way) to Seattle every week to see my girlfriend... and now its 100 miles (One way also) to see my family in Los Angeles. The bottom part of the bra is worthless... I only use the hood part of my bra. it looks way better, kinda like a low pro bug deflector. so i kinda miss out on the gay look and protect the hood. i've only used the bottom part of the bra on the really long trips... Washington - Los Angeles, Los Angeles - Las vegas, n e thing that i gotta make a weekend out of. i bought my bra at the "Stealer" for $135 i've seen them on e-bay for about $80 but their rare. Also don't forget to buff that hood or eles ur gonna get a sun mark that nobody wants. I avoid this by buffing/waxing and ocasionally removing the bra, usally during daily driving. oh and th bra is hard to put on... the first time... after that i've had no problem puting it on by myself. Anyways thanks for letting me post... i'll be here all week.

I've also got the bug deflector.. saved from a few rock chips I'm sure... once I got one ugly one I decided to get it. I have got a few other chips since then, but they are from rocks that lobbed at the car on the highway.

Man....I should start smuggling these across the border and make a fortune! :)

There seems to be a few things that aren't available in the states... I was talking with another person about roof racks... we have a great set of roof racks for the '03 Pro5's but they aren't available down there... its odd why they would do that...

It is also odd that they don't have bug deflectors down there... there are "bugs" in the states too, no?

lol bugs in the states sigh... there on steriods down here heheh. how much they run at the dealership up there guys?

/me goes to the car and gets my receipt book.... $76.95 CDN Sure easy to find my receipts when they are all in the same place ;)

I don't even know why they call it a "bug deflecter" . The only thing it deflects is small rocks debris ,but bugs?.....it just splatters them. I don't even use mine anymore. Just figure the more chips i get in my hood the closer i'll be to getting a nicer carbon fiber one.

so you can get chips on your cf one too?

I can see using it for long road trips. It just looks so much better without it though. The town I live in has an average speed limit of 45 and only one interstate passing through so I really don't get rock chips, only on long trips out of town. It's a catch 22.
You can either protect your hood and always see that bugshield or go without and deal
with a few minor blemishes but better looks. To each their own.

Actually, it does reduce the number of bugs hitting the windshield since the top of the deflector has a lip sticking up which deflects the airflow upwards sending the bugs upwards too.
