Police Street Racing Training Video

I watched that video and thought that it was a perfect example of harrassment. Like WTF? Does the Magnassun-Moss Act NOT apply in the state of California. Personally, I would look up the quoted section of the quoted act, photocopy it, and carry it around in my car at all times.

The cop and the bureaucratic fat-tard just kept saying how this and that were "illegal," when the fat-tard didn't even explain why they were illegal. s*** his friggin' clothes were illegal.

It was also comical how they were able to presume (egads Sherlock!) that the car was purposely-designed for racing because, among other things, it had stickers that said "Racing." It is not conceivable that the guy just liked the sticker is it.

Furthermore, what if the car was built for racing....at the drag strip, not on the road? It might have many of the modifications shown, but never be raced on the street. Is it illegal to take your car to the track in California?

The thing that gets me the most, however, is that were I to drive my car in California, I could be cited for numerous violations, but yet I never race my car...period. Not on the street, not on the track, not anywhere. I may drive aggressively and speed within reasonable limits when road conditions permit, but I don't race my car. I have modifications that would be considered illegal, but I am not a street racer. I am a 36 year old professional father of three young kids that likes to drive a car that looks, sounds, and drives awesome. That is it. I'm not out to endanger the lives of innocent people.

This video is actually quite scary in that the government of California has started to encroach perilously close to your civil liberties to personalize your own property with this legislation. In the name of safety (who knows how much they really care about that) they have drafted a vehicle that they can use to moderate individualism.

That is BAD. s***, I'm Canadian and this gets me riled. Next they'll claim that certain car colours are illegal because they are associated with racing.

People got to speak up about this s***...its just crazy.

Sorry for the rant. My Canadian $0.02 ($0.015 USD)

actually, I read that somewhere in cali, some of the rich folk decided that brown(or similar) colored cars were ugly and whatnot so there are not allowed there anymore. yeah, I know. Go Cali....go right into the pacific right after that next huge quake. hahah

Oh yeah, I know there are... Crushed ones...

Rainman, it is illegal to drive a track-only car on the streets here(not what you were refering to, I know, but thought I'd throw it out there). If the car has had the emissions garbage modified/removed, it's illegal. I agree with you completely. Sadly, speaking out will do nothing. The majority of ppl here support such nonsense, and even if they didn't, the lawmakers here would just pass it all without an election anyways. Heck, even our lawnmowers and weed-trimmers have to have cats on them now. So, companies that make these products have to have CA specific models. It just gets worse and worse here, and the people are either loving it, or totaly oblivious.

That really sucks. The only thing that's illegal in michigan is tinted front windows, and I have only been pulled over once in like 5 years of having 5% tinted windows. We are also not required to have a front license plate, which is really nice.

Yea i agree, michigan laws are WAAY better then those BS cali ones, but the window tint thing is annoying. I get pulled over all the time for it in lenawee county.
A little off topic but how did you get so many red rep points???

or the dc exhaust, mugen header, mugen intake manifold, mugen cam gears, aem intake, vishnu fuel rail, rrfpr, msd +4 ignition, and some sort of management. that, plus a decent tune = ~14.0 in a d16. if he had all of that stuff done, im sure there was internal work, and he had nitrous, so lets say mid 13s. how fast is your msp?

oh yeah, the nawz and stickers added soooooo much power to it

I love it 80% of the posts are from people from out of the states commenting on it. You guys don't know how it really is. It's not like that at all. Cops don't give a s*** about it; except when they are busting a street race or the car is just asking for it like that one was. They don't even have time for those speeding 25 mph over the limit. Frankly I don't want to see those kind of people on the road anyway because of their tendency to do the dumbest stuff at the worst time. They're thinning the herd of altezza beasts. It's what everybody asks for anyway

it is nice here in wa, i have nx express rear liscense plate frame (i got a ticket for my tinten cover so i needed a frame for daily driving) i have never been asked if my nx bottle is full or anything about it.... gotta love ignorant cops
