I didn't like the pocket height of the Scosche kits. I picked up a used MX-6 pocket instead:

just for a pocket...
all i know is i really dont like the Scosche kits
its soo small its pointless, n looks tacky (my 2cents)
anyways thanx for the help, much appretiated

How much would that cost down under?

I guess it's either this or the Scosche ones, or I guess something customized you can make.

The Mazdaspeeds have one with a flip door on them.

I got the same pocket as the msp has out of a wrecked 00 pro es. cost $15 from a junkyard. Thats where I would start. Scosche pocket is garbage.

the take 2 seconds too install.. i have a nice one and it only cost like 20 bucks.. i cant remember the brand though

well its not really too much, probably about right, but I got my whole set up for $500.

2 10'' Kicker Comps w/ custom box
Pioneer Premier HU
Amp wiring kit and all harnesses and stuff
800w Sony XPlod amp

Its really easy to install, if you have any questions I can help:)

sounds good, yeah i got
dual 400Watt 12" Kicker Comp subs in box
2 sets of pioneer 220watt 6"
a Pioneer HU
750Watt Kicker Amp
a Stinger Capacitor...the NOS lookalike bottle
all wiring inculded and 4gauge power wiring
and the alpine amp
ur prob the right person to talk to about installation
do i use the wireharness supplied by Pioneer to plug straight into the amp and then from the amp... do i use the RCA's?
or how do i got from amp to speakers?
and with the capacitor... is that purely used for the amps?
or when does the capacitor plug into play...
i think a pic layout would be really helpful for me if anyone could put one together?
thanx

The RCA's (along with the blue remote wire) will go from the HU to the amp. You will need a wiring harness for a 00+ protege which will go from your HU to the wires you remove from the back of your stock unit. You run the power wire straight from the positive on the battery to the trunk of the car to the capacitor and then I guess you can run two sections of power wire out of the cap to the amps, you really only need the cap on the cord going to the kicker amp though. The sub speaker wires hook right up to the amp and they should be labled on the amp. Im not too sure about hooking the two 6" speakers through your amp though, ill look it up and look for a map if I can find one. There are a few other people on here that may be more qualified to answer these questions than me but I certanly can do my best to help out.

sweet that helped heaps,
iv made my own 'map' and was hoping if ppl
could draw all the connections i need to do
the alpine amp is for the speakers and the Kicker... for the Kicker subs
this would help heaps, thats alot

im not too sure about the cap or the amp for the door speakers, it has to get the signal from the hu somehow and its probably complicated. heres my best guess lol.

all you hook up to the cap is a ground and the power wire from the battery.. then you wire the one from ur battery to the amp. and then you ground the ground wire

yeah thats wat i had in mind, iv got a few
mates at work that could prob clear some spots for me(mechanics)
i think that the amp has some speaker input lines that come from the HU
thanx for all the help

I love my MSP pocket :)

You could get this pocket too. I believe it's an EDM part.
