A few of us on the "mazda 3 forums" site have begun to put together a PNW Mazda club - right now it's just getting off the ground but I'm working on a website that we can use to centralize communication rather than a dozen different forums for different models. First order of business is to build a roster of interested drivers so I'm working on building a web-form / database for this.

Currently the site is just a few pages to start building a roster:

Edit: I guess I'm not allowed to sticky support for other forums. Even when it does mean helping out our local scene and community as a whole. I'm even borderline in trouble for condoning it. However I'm there, support it, and believe that only good can come of it.

You should add the Mazdaspeed Protege as an option in the drop down menu instead of just Protege. Also I think more people would like if thier first name and last initial were posted instead of first initial and last name.

Thanks Britt - Updated per your suggestions. For the time being the names are going to be cut off - because that roster page is visible to anyone who visits it. Once we have an official member list and the club is established we will close off a members only area with some of that contact information that drivers would choose to make available to the club. The purpose behind a roster page with more contact information is to facilitate building events - right now its difficult to inform drivers of events if they aren't regularly checking one of the half dozen forums.

sooooo, anything new come of this? haven't seen anything on the website, but there are 58 of us on the roster as of this morning. not a bad sized group. now we just need some organization.

I believe the primary idea for now is simply to get a roster up for the time being sasto facilitate event contact, etc.

Matt seems to be a fairly busy guy, so I don't expect alot of immediate action overthere, I assume it to be more of an in-the-works kind of setup.
There is more in the works, but might just take a bit.

Paul, thanks for updating in my absence. We had been without power for over a week. Back up and online now.

As Paul mentioned, I've been really busy lately and I'm not sure how much time I'll have to dedicate to getting everything started. Long story short, Paul is correct, my hope was to initially get a roster up so we at least have a list of folks to contact to get things started. My guess is early spring time we can start really making some headway on this. In the mean time I'm just trying to get the word out there that we are working on getting organized.

What you can do in the mean time:

• Spread the word - let other PNW Mazda owners know
• Talk to your local shops, manufactures, etc - help network
• Web development / graphic design help - I'm busy right now and don't have a lot of time to spend, would be great if someone could lend a hand.

Can we plan on actually doing some things though? Not just show type stuff, but Mt St Helens cruises, Wine tastings, trip to the Evergreen flight museum etc?

I've never been one much for sitting in a parking lot benchracing.

When I signed on it only had "protege" as a catagory. No way to fix it from my end. Oh its sunlight silver! haha.

I'm still waiting to go toa Go Kart meet or something. Hasn't happened for a long time. Ghost must be too busy to set another one up =\

And he doesn't have his P5 anymore. I was going to buy it, but he didn't ever return my PMs or calls. Now ther new owner is on here, so I don't know. Probably buying an ITR now instead...

Have fun with the ITR. I averaged 1 break in a year with my integra. And it was only an LS. Thats why I sold it for this.
