Alrighty. Here's the story. My check engine light is always on (O2 sensor voltage, no cats). I recently got this scan gauge which claims to work in any car, etc. It does not work in my MS3, it works in my fiance's '08 3i just fine. In the MS3 it says connecting to vehicle for a couple seconds and then says failed. Shortly after this the check engine light blinks 7 times (key on, engine NOT running). The blinking thing happens whether or not the gauge is plugged in, and several seconds after key on, engine not running. Any idea what this means? The scanner at advance auto works... so why won't the gauge connect?
