mazdaspeed protege 2003.5 titanium
Alright guys, i bought a 2003.5 mazdaspeed protege yesterday. I've been trying to find one for around 6 months, finally i found my dream car =) the car seems to run great. but one huge problem is when i put the pedal more than half way to the floor or all the way, the turbo kicks in, but it bucks severely. I bought the car off a dealer, he got it on a trade in. The car has a greddy turbo controller, a boost gauge, a greddy blow off valve and other aftermarket parts that i'm not sure about. To sum it up. I live in Schuylkill Haven Pa. My cell phone number is 5705730817. If anyone can please call or message me with help, or if someone would be willing to meet me and just quick look my car over for me id extremely appreciate it and most likely pay you for your time. Please help me.

You have the famous fuel cut, you need some type of engine management to tune it out. Plus if it is very cold this problem will keep happening.

thanks for the posts guys, but i understand very little of this. I just want my car to run right haha. i worked on it today and i know what the problem is. The car seems to run fine, the turbo runs fine until the turbo reaches 6 psi, its limit. then the car bucks from the turbo i think. Im guessing the car knows that it should stop at 6psi but instead of steading the boost and keeping it at 6, it cuts fuel or something to lower the psi. If anyone of you know how to solve this, or even what it is please post or contact me. thanks

The stock turbo has been ran to 9+ PSI w/o an issue with proper tuning. You are hitting fuel cut, It sucks, I Know as I hit it at 18 PSI now (I need to tune in all my new toys). Anyway Like everyone else said you need some type of EMS to fix it.

Don't be afraid to post pics of whats under the hood. Any additional information . Videos would be better. You could have a boost leak.

i agree with destineal. be sure to check all vacuum lines and inspect exhaust manifold for cracks. please list/show the other aftermarket parts you aren't sure about.
