Please help for strut install

I recently got a new set of Tokico HP struts and I have no idea how I could install it. I took my wheels off and when I look at the stock suspension, it looks nothing like what I got. It looks so different that Iam not sure I received the right one for my car. Plus there is no user manual, no labels anywhere on the box confirming that these struts are made for our MP5s. Therefore could anyone please help me out. Post some "how to" for the install and of course pics are always worth more than 1000 words. Btw, if I post pics of my struts, could you guys tell whether I got the correct struts? Just wondering if I actually did get the wrong stuffs or is it simply that Iam not smart enough to do the install. Many thanks.

Thanks for the fast reply. That was pretty helpful. After looking at those pics, Iam more concerned that I have received the wrong stuffs. Even with the whole thing removed, it looks nothing like what I have.

I did I bought the whole Tokico struts with springs. What I meant is the Tokico struts looks nothing like the stock struts. Well let me post a pic of what I got and you guys can decide.

Well its good to see people putting my "how to" to good use! Thanks Bala de Plata:) Pics would be helpful and I can tell you if you are working with the right parts or not.

Subbin for when you've got pics up. (Knowing my luck, it'll be while I'm @ work and they'll be blocked lol)

Credit given where credit is due - I know how hard it is to take the time to pop off shots during a project like this, much less do a write-up. (first)

Here is the pic of what I got. I took these pics with my cell phone so the quality might not be that good. It is still good enough to see what it looks like though.

Thanks so much, now Iam sure I got the wrong parts. :( For a moment I was wondering how is it possible for me to make these fit. The weird thing is the box came with nothing, no user manual, no part number, no warranty card, only struts and springs. I guess that is the risk of buying things off ebay. Anyway I'll go contact the seller now to get these replaced. Once again thanks so much.

Yeah, those look like they belong on a truck or something, the pics chopstick posted are what they should look like, good luck on getting the right parts:)

dude, I don't think the springs are right either :(. That stinks like hell dude (sad2)

Ya, return that shizz and get some new ones

As you can see from the pics, it looks nothing like the stock ones.
Where'd you buy those? Or, more directly, who screwed up your order?

Yeah I bought these at ebay. I tend to buy a lot of things off ebay to save some money, but in cases such as this one, its really not worth it.

His user name is jdmwerks13. There is one thing I have to give him credit for though, I contacted him and told him about the incident then he shipped out the new one on the same day.
