Pistons/Pacers Fight

It was out of reach for the Pistons. With the amount of time remaining there's no way they could have come back.

Awwwww what a fight, The WWF meets the NBA, Chairs, cups, beer, spitting, tag-team, taughting, and cheap shots.

all we need now is cool intro's w/ some pyros and women to escort them.

I see all coming together now

Artest F'ed up b/c he attacked someone, and besides that, he attacked the wrong person.

I'm personally disgusted by everyone's action, both parties should be ashamed, especially the fans who pouring drinks on players as they were leaving.

it was just ugly

On top of that, it's Artest's fault. One of the good fans of Detriot saw that artest was lying down looking tired and he thought Artest was thirsty, so he did what good person would do......... give him a beer.

Shame on Artest.

I gotta say I've grown to hate the NBA.

Ten years ago I was all over basketball...Sir Charles, Jordan, Robinson to name a few were all good players and class acts. But these punk bitches that are playing have really changed the face of the game...for the worse. Their talents be damned.

If you dream about making it big some day, you think you'd appreciate it and not do anything to jeopardize it when you get there. I hope these players get sued out of their gord and that the NBA kicks them out.

If you watch the replays, Stephen Jackson also goes crazy in the stands. Did you guys see the clip where Jermainel is trying to go back in the stands to get some dude. THere is no excuse for that behavior but one must remember that we are all human, and we all break.

pwnt.

Sir Charles, a class act? Which NBA were you watching, the one from fairyland?

That pic is ******* awesome.

Either way, I just watched the replay the ESPN page, and for the first time I actually agree with Stephen A Smith. That guy is an ass, but I think the players association will come to the aide of the players. Several years ago in the bay area, Latrell Spreewell choked PJ Carlisemo, the Warriors coach at the time, and was suspended for the whole year. In September in Oakland, Francisco Rodriguez was suspended for the rest of the season for throwing a chair into the stands during an A's/Rangers game. Different league, but similar thing happening. I'm surprised they didn't get arrested in Detroit last night. Either way, I see Artest and Jackson getting the biggest suspensions and fines, and O'Neal getting a smaller one because he stayed on the court.

Before every game, they tell everyone that they will be arrested for stepping onto the court. This guys did, and got the s*** knocked out of him. Fair warning. Not saying he's not going to sue. Hell, I bet there are 50 attorneys calling his ass right now trying to get that case. I know I would. Ben Wallace gets a few days, O'Neal gets a couple weeks, Artest and Jackson get suspended for month, maybe more, Indiana Pacers are ****** for the rest of the season.

There are at least 3 NBA players that need to go to jail....along with several fans. If Ron Artest plays in the NBA again I will lose all respect for the NBA and never watch it again. No one can justfy self defense from being hit by a water bottle. The NBA needs to take firm action....no more protecting athletes...this happens on the street you go to jail. Plus the Pistons should have several home games canceled to lose revenue. Detroit the Bagdad of America.

In all honesty, no matter what the NBA decides to do, nothing will make everybody happy.

No opinion,
Suspend Jackson, Artest, and Oneal for the rest of the season, with no pay. Ben Wallace to get the normal fine and suspension for initiating a fight. There is no way that anyone could have predicted the moments that later took place.
The Pistons should also pay a fine, lose revenue, whatever the case. The actions of the fans was attrocious.

This incident sheds more light on the lack of security rather than on the actions of fans and players. That will never change, but the NBA and Hosting Stadiums should be up to par.

Peace

hahaha that just made laugh. he put barkley and class act in the same sentence. and ten years ago....ummm don't suppose the name bill lambere, and deniss rodman ring a bell, do they? both from DETROIT where the media proudly named them (as a team) the "bad boys" of the NBA. It's nothing new that violence is mixed in with sports, it's too competive and emotional not to be.

I disagree. Sure the games are competitive and you see it in most sports but you never saw the "Bad Boys" in the stands. Players are just retarded and are never held accountable for thier actions. Yeah they may lose a couple games worth of cash big deal to them. I'm so sick and tired of this "I'm hard" image players try to show. They need to move the NBA where it belongs (and most players should be or soon will be) to the prison system. It's really a shame that these guys make millions of dollars but at the end of the day...thier lives mean nothing (except for the few good role models).

i would be suing everyone, the player, coaches, the stadium for inadequate security, the NBA association. I'd be paid in full. All of those players should be kicked outta the sport for good.

Hahahahahahaha. Looks like the little b**** Artest gets the "rest from making his rap album" like he originally wanted now! All of those players should be permanently banned. They're half-assed gang members the way it is, so the next thing that will happen is their "hommies" will be attending games and taking out anybody that talks bad about their homeboy. Artest deserved getting that water/beer dumped on him - he shouldn't have been laying his big ass on the scoring table anyway. (angel)
