Try what dealer over where? Only place I know of checking out is Corksport. However, they seem to be real busy with projects and such. Who else would you recommend asking to have the parts imported?

Hmmm NO! Their not. In our Mazda Club here we have 2 USDM Proteges, compared to the ones we get here (323). And all for all stock, the japanese versions we get here are way more faster. Way more faster as in the way that me with 17" rims, spoilers and speaker enclousure on the trunk i am way faster (3-4 car lenghts) than a friend of mine (Angeldust on forum i think) with him completly stock with his 14" black rims. This is all engine stock, both A/T.
Our cars weight much less because we dont have has many restriction as the USA market.

I believe the engine is more powerful, but how is the car lighter? What Is missing in the JDM cars that is in the USDM cars.

I purchased forged miata rods and pistons. from what I gathered the pistons need to be skimmed 1mm from the top. I'll let you know how the build goes.

You guys have 2 airbags, here we only get 1 in the full 323 and none on the more simple ones, you guys have the front and back bumper reinforcement wich add weight, we here dont, and a few other more things that dont come to mind right now but i'll let you know as soon as i remember

I'm going with 78.5mm pistons (+.5mm) with 8.5:1
the project starts in two weeks. I'll start a thread and post as much info as I can.
