pioneer AVH-6500dvd

I'm looking for a DVD unit for my MSP, and am interested in the "pioneer AVH-6500dvd". But before I spend that much money on a deck I would like to hear from someone who has had experience with it, or knows of a better unit for a a similar or cheaper price. I'll admit I don't know a whole lot about dvd units but have been trying to learn about them. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

its an awesome unit. I have always been partial to Alpine, but when this new units came out, I was blown away. I specially like the 7500, with TV tuner and the awesome screen shots with mpeg screensavers.

yeah I like the Alpine ones too but they are a little more pricey. I'm gonna go looking again tomorrow but am pretty sure I'm gonna buy the 6500, I've heard nothing but good things about it.

we sold 3 of teh pioneer 6500s the first week we got them in. IMO they are awsome for the money. the touchscreen feature is great and the screen is very good lookin. i think it is hard to beat for the money...
