pictures of nos kit

funny... 40 years old and I always referred to them as 'bobcats'... that is until I talked to a co-worker and her husband does concrete and she stated they own a couple 'skid steers'.. I finally asked what that was thinking it was some special piece of equipment for concrete? Duh... its the same dag gone thing. Is this a regional thing?

regional? Maybe so, I've never heard of a bobcat or skid steer before, whats that?

Yeah that is a dry kit ! How the hell do you run a dry kit on this car. There is no way for the ecu to add the fuel you need since our car does not have a vacuum operated fuel pressure regulator. So basically this thing will lean you out like cazy, unless i am missing something?
By the way i am in the middle of installing my zex kit. I went with the wet kit though. I am waiting on a few other parts to come in, and get my ecu back from getting the fuel cut flash before i get to try it out. Fill me in here, i want more deails. Also i hope you know that no decent track will let you run with your bottle like that.

EDIT.......
with a closer look at the last pic i can see he has the two ports that are supposes to ne use for fuel enrichment just looped together. That means there absolutely no fuel being added with this nitrous. For those who dont know, nitrous doesnt add power, the fuel that goes akong with it does. Without fuel all you have there is a timebomb! there isno chance in hell that car would survive a 100 shot that way. To be honest i wouldnt use more than a 25 shot like that. The only benefit you are getting is the xooling effect of the nitrous, and even that is being ruined by the nozzle placement. Notnonly is it on the HOT side of the IC, its before the turbo !! Wrong all wrong !! This set up will be the demise of this car.

I've edited my post for the time being until I clarify something. Excuse my ignorance, but where exactly is the nozzle plumbed into here? Are you plumbed into the hot side of the intercooler? I cant make out the pic you have posted of the nozzle. If you do, thats fine. In this application it is used moreso for cooling. It will not yield the same gains plumbed like this as a typical nitrous installation. Furthermore, do you have a microswitch under the pedal or do the Zex kits wire in and sense WOT from system sensors? If its wired in to system sensors I would bet the flow is turning on and off continuously because #1, the throttle plate dances around, #2, the throttle plate doesn't open fully.
I can answer some of that. Zex uses a tps sensor signal to determine WOT. You are correct that the throttle dances (if you dont have a flash) but that is why you dont wire it into the actual TPS signal wire. Instad you tap into the throttle pedal position sensor. That always gives a true WOT reading and wont cause your nitrous to go crazy.
I still dont understand how to use a dry kit on this car though. You still need to use 2 jets for the zex dry kits. One to control nitrous flow, and the other is used to raise you fuel pressure via a vacuum pressure regulator. This car doeant have that!! How the hell do you jet this thing?

Considering how rich these cars are in stock trim, a small, properly calibrated dry shot could work very nicely. Lean the mix just enough, bump up the cylinder pressure because of the extra mass (the other way NO2 kits make power) and the cooling effect reduces knock.
Of course you won't catch me trying it but if one of you wants to report back on the results...

Won't the engine blow if the throttle plate shuts at WOT while spraying? Seems to be something this car does a lot for most people.

You got it. If you fuel/boost cut and the throttle slams shut while spraying you are done. Thats why i sent my ecu to cpe ! No more cut for me, i got throttle control too !

CP-E seems to have this car figured out. If i can't get my car to run the way i want by summer i'll spring the cash for a good cp-e tune.

you guys are all full of s*** .... you think just because, not one of you can make something like this work than it can not work... wrong wrong wrong.........
all you need to do is know how to tune a turbo
just like all cars you do not buy part and put them on and hope for the best you need to know what you are doing

keep tring maybe you guys will be here oneday
and thinks to the one or two that said good job
