wanted to show you all a good looking wheel that I purchased for my CX7
It is hyperblack (black with silver paint over it)

This is a nice style for those who want to improve the look without "lookin all Gangsta"
Wheels are 20inch made by TSW, inexpensive, and I put 245/50/20 Pirelli Scorpion STR

I have noticed that the scorpion str rides very quiet and smooth which is due to the fact that it is a true all season highway SUV tire, Most 20 inch tires are in the ultra high performance (UHP) category which wear rapidly and usually are very noisy.

They come with a 60K mile warranty so you can expect double to triple the life when compared to UHP tires. The average retail price on this size is under 125 per tire.

FYI
this particular Pirelli is OEM on the new top of the line Ford Edge/Lincoln MKX model, which is where i got this size from, I am not aware of any other tire manufacturers currently producing a 245/50/20

yeah but I travel for work and care about ride quality which is why the scorpion str is great becuase it is essentially a grand touring tire for SUV

245/45/20 and 255/45/20 are primarily made by asians ie. kumho, nitto, falken, and are noisy, have poor wet traction capabilities, and wear out in 15K

I'm saying that your sales pitch for the pirellis good, but there are other options out there besides the one size that only your company makes. Especially when the size is almost 2% off from stock diameter...

im not trying to pitch sales

I just dont like putting Ultra high performance tires on my daily driver vehicles because I drive 25K miles a year for work.....

245/50/20 is an acceptable size and the vehicle handles wonderfully I am letting the forum know this so they can make informed buying decisions as retail tire salesman are primarily unaware of the 245/50/20 size and will try to sell you whatever they have in stock.

The overall diameter is 29.6 and the stock is 28.9 which is 1/2 an inch, no big deal

You've been pushing the Pirelli Scorpions for a year now. Everytime a tire tread comes up, you mention these tires and try to push the size that only your company makes. Even though it is not the best size available. They you proceed to trash every other tire producer on the market with statements like:

245/45/20 and 255/45/20 are primarily made by asians ie. kumho, nitto, falken, and are noisy, have poor wet traction capabilities, and wear out in 15K.

...that you can't back up with any quantifiable data.

The CX-7 looks great (07LiquidCX7 has the same set-up), but this is an informational forum and I want to be sure that anyone reading this knows the context that you are trying to push sales. That is all...
