Here is my new intake from PRM. It grabs the cold air fromt he fender well as you can see. That big black thing that has PRM written on it is the filter so you don't need to take off your front bumper for intall or anything. It's a K&N filter in there so you only need to clean as often as the cones and with the kit they have for it.

I am presently writing out the instructions on how to put the kit together. The guy hasn't determined a specific price yet for the intake. Around the figures of $240-$300 US.

Is it worth it... YES very much so.. great noise and all those aluminum parts where ice cold after driving for an our... ;)I have felt gains in the mid and high range of the power band. No loss on the low end either...

I am very very please...

I just have to reply since I was there when the guy did it. THen we drove on the highway for about 45 minutes, and when we stopped, we checked the aluminum pipes, the one that goes into the fender well was ICE cold, the filter housing was ICE cold, and the other aluminum pipe was cold.

This is a great intake! The guy is cool too!

Looks good!
I just have one question...Why the red strut brace? What happened to the yellow one that would match that intake?

I changed it with a P5 owner... I dunno what I will to with it yet... but i think the red is fine...

Very Nice!!! But let me get this straight, for those of us who are planning a turbo install, a CAI is something we DON'T want to do, right???

Where is the "velocity stack"??? What size tubing is it??

To me it looks like 3" piping up till the air sensor, then it drops to two inch piping into the trottle body. Is that right?

And, what was the outisde temp when you were driving?? That could be why it was still cold after only 45 minutes.

Just asking...

That's correct. You will want an intake system, but one designed for the turbo at hand and it's placement. You'll probably get one custom made or the company will provide it in the turbo kit.

Rishie.

im still lookin for a cai keep posting on how much it will cost. i will buy if the price is right.

filter/velocity stack. The filter causes something called the venturie effect or something like that. Which increase the velocity of the air.

It would seem that the tubing changing from three inches to two and a half at the MAF is the venturi, not the filter/velocity stack.

In order for the venturi to work it has to go from one size piping down in size to new pipe. If it opens up back to the same size on the other side it just slows the air back down.

If someone wants to buy that and trade me for an Injen CAI w/splash guard...I may be up for it. :D

Do u have to worry about it sucking up water and what is at the end of the tube were most intakes have a filter

It's a 3" tube. The filter is in line, which is the big black circle near the bend that goes into the fender. I prefer this system cause I will not need a water by pass system unless I remove my fog for true racing times.
