I just bought and installed a Trust (Greddy) shift knob. It is screw-on....solid feel, heavy weight, perfect size. It is highly polished, but appears almost gunmetal....especially as it reflects the black shift boot. For anyone interested in getting a shift knob I figured I would give a few pics as to what this style looks like. I still need to mod the shift boot so it stays up against the shift knob.....that part will be easy.

Sorry for the bad angles.

Very nice. I have the counterweighted greddy shift knob, more round in shape than that one but around the same size. They do wonders for shift feel and effort, alot easier to shift because of the extra weight. The stock msp knob really sucks, it's too big and low imo.

Also, I solved the shift boot problem in a different way, I ordered a Integra Type R shift boot from Options auto salon (around $20) and with slight modification made it fit. It has a finished top ring so it looks better than the stock boot with a aftermarket shift knob. It has red stitching instead of yellow, but still looks good. I also have a b&m shifter so I don't know if this will work with the stock shifter though.

Cool, yea I had looked at both Greddy counter-weight knobs. My version is not listed at a counterweight, but I htink they weigh the same. The round is nice, but I wanted something a bit different. I think I will keep my boot for now, as it matches the interior. There is a little ridge on the shifter which holds it in place, I am going to make my own a bit higher.

(cheers) + football = :)

Football makes drinking beer on a Monday night acceptable.

Ebay - through a company called Response Auto Fashion. They are also online. It was $45 with shipping. I could not find anyone with the sphere counter weight in stock. Ebay is your only proof that someone actually has stuff in stock....just make sure you buy from the right people.
