Pics of shift knobs

I have the short Momo Anatomico. Feels better in hand than stock. Looks great. $42.95 at CarDomain.

Does it use set screws or does it thread on?
Three Allen head set screws (Allen key is furnished) hidden under the brushed aluminum collar on the bottom of the knob. The knob also shortens the throw because it's drilled over an inch deeper than the stock screw-on version and drops down further on the stick.

It comes with three polyurethane rings of various diameters, one of which fits the stick snugly. Drop the aluminum collar onto the stick, push the ring down onto the stick to the area where the screws on the knob intersect it when knob is fully seated on the stick, push the knob down over the ring and tighten the three Allen screws evenly, pull up the aluminum collar and screw it up onto the knob. Pull up the shift boot and it's finished.

I've had no problem with it in 12K miles. "Palm feel" and appearance is superior to the stock shift knob, IMO.

I have the MSP Sparco one.. :D
and for sale I have the B&M carbon fiber one.. anyone interested?

i need a new knob too!! i am not sure what i want yet though... i have a kartboy short shifter and i am using the stock p5 knob still...

i have the kartboy short shifter too and you can't screw anything into it because the screws will tighten to the threads of the shifter. i have the Sparco Techno shift knob in the laser blue. it looks great with the laser blue mica paint, but it twists because i can't screw it in.

my stock knob didn't have any problems screwing in. and it doesn't slip either...

Right now:

Pretty great..but gets mad cold in winter (and I suppose hot in summer...)

I want a MSP Knob, like this one on the 'bay, but I'm don't know if it'll fit.. the MSP and P5 threads are different, right? (btw I have a TWM SS)
(stoned)

The MSP and the P5, as far as I know, have the same thread. Only the MP3 has different threads.

if someone who has tried it could back me up, I'd appreciate it.

Aroma: I feel your pain. My Kartboy knuckleball knob is a b**** in the winter. I"m thinking of having someone knit a little booty for it. :D

I'm using the stock Mazda6/Mazda3 shift knob. It's leather with a brushed aluminum insert. Nicely weighted and with the stitching it feels like a baseball. :)

I need one of these? anyone selling one for a decent price?

I just bought one of those from my Mazda dealer. P/N 000-8R-C18.

It does not fit my Protege5

Where the top of the shift boot sits on the shifter, there is a lip, and the bottom of the MazdaSpeed knob bottoms out on that before it has even started to thread on.

Does anyone know of a mod that can get this to fit? The knob is super PIMP!!

I got it from TWM with my Short Shifter.. they sell the knobs individually too...

It's soooo comfortable but soooo cold.

yea, you can use your stockie knob with the SS, I tried both and the TWM seems more solid, it's got some weight to it and it's freakin' height adjustable!! I still want the MSP one...

yo BLIZZARD , you say the MSP knob doesn't fit right cause of some lip? Do you have any pics, I bet we can figure out how to make it work....

shift knobs are the s***. I got some MOMO parts coming on Monday, new e-brake knob & boot, and a GRID thing...awesome. I was considering getting some hot MOMO knob and threading it myself.. I just don't really want to mess with cups and set screws, did that in my Neon, too much hassle and play...

ok maybe i am a lil confused or somthing but is that just a shorter stick??

TWM Performance Mazda/Ford Height Adjustable Stainless Steel Shift Knob

im looking for a short shifter.... as well as a knob....not a shift knob thats hieght adjusdtable

twm has short shifter. It is the one that decreases the throw the most out of any SS for our cars. I have had it for about 2 years and love it. I am thinking about getting their wieghted knob as well

Is the twm hard to shift without the weighted knob like they say on their site?? I might be getting the twm soon but im going to hafta wait to get the knob.

Only the knob is height adjustable... the shifter is not. The knob is threaded to fit our shifters, the set screws are just there for some added grip. Good stuff.

I didn't have any problems shifting.. I'm pretty strong though. The TWM is easier than the stock knob, but not an enormous difference.
