Pics of P5 Headlights Blacked Out...

dont those headlights cost an arm anna leg?

Yeah.:) I was searching around for a set of P5 lights from a salvage yard - and these ended up not being much more. I've got a "Canadian conection" ;) and the exchange rate was a little more favorable when I picked them up about a year ago.

On my black p5, should I use flat black, or will gloss look good? I have gloss now, but if the flat will look better....

I went with a semi-gloss...The semi-gloss will give you the look of a OEM plastic piece....just like they make in the factory...Glossy would look bad IMO, and completely flat looks like you painted them...

Yah I went with a semi gloss black with mine and IMO it looks better than the flatt, but what ever floats your boat. Here is a link to my headlights.

If any of you are looking for more detailed instructions on how to do this here is a link to some really good instructions. This is what I used

Go to the exterior mod section and click on the "paint your headlights" link. This sight is really great for many other mods as well, I really recommend all of you check it out. Dan

I don't like black headlights on black cars for some reason...

Looks good guys.

I agree, blacked out looks best ... on all color P5's :)

I picked up a set of Canadians only because I planned on intalling a set of P5 lights in my MSP (painted oem ones from my P5 - confused?). Otherwise I would have just painted them.

Here's how to pull the bumper

And here are those @#*$ clips everyone is talking about (fig. 09-10 above)

Here's the part #'s for them - I recomend you pick up a set if you plan on taking your bumper cover off more than once

Thank you for the useful info...Especially the part number for the clips. LOL! It looks like the Canadians have a semi-gloss/satin finish. I think I will try to find a black like that. I was debating between the flat & the gloss, but the Candian finish looks real nice & clean.

I appreciate all of you sharing your pics!
