What's up guys. I just got this recently. 2012 model made in January (or so it says on the sticker when you open the door). It's the i Sport 2.0L with a manual dolhpin/black combo. I wanted a silver one originally but when I went to the dealership it seemed that literally of them were either black, white, or silver and this one just kinda stood out. 2 hours later and $15,500 less in my account I drove out with it and it only had 27 miles on the clock. Now it has 2100 that I put on it in the last 5-6 weeks. It's so freaking easy to drive it's unbelievable! The clutch is so light that I couldn't get used to it for a while, but now it makes my dad's '05 Tribute look and drive like a huge pile of crap. Also I have to say that for only a 2.0L the engine is pretty sweet and definitely has a little kick in the top end. At first I wanted a skyactiv but I figured since these normal 2.0L have been around for a while they're pretty durable and there are more aftermarket parts for them. I will definitely be upgrading it but since I'm in college currently it will be a slow process. My short and long term plans look like this
short term:
I need to find a good amp/speaker combo. The stock speakers sound OK but with bass set at zero they start farting when volume is set to about 30.
long term:
This is pretty tentative but rx8 wheels would look nice on it imho or some other 18 inchers with summer tires.
Definitely will look into coilovers or a new spring/shock combo since I'm planning to autocross it next season.
Short shift kit
Intake, headers, chip, and all the basic bolt-ons will go on it eventually.
Speaking of which, I find it difficult to find any sort of builds of this engine. Can someone point me to some?
Oh, and here's da whip. How you like my 16" hubcaps?
