Lets talk physics for a second. We are dealing with a car that puts out about 100hp at the wheels... if you put 20's on it, think about the amount of rotational mass we're dealing with. You're going to make a slow car even slower.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy my p5; it's just that i'm perfectly aware that it is a slow car.

And frankly I don't understand the allure of spending some rediculous amount of money doing hydros/20's/interior and whatnot to a car like a p5. Your money would be much better spent in other directions; buy a house, save for the future. You're just going to wind up with a very expensive, painfully slow car that has no resale value.

sell your car before you **** it up. those wheels you linked to look like oem mercedes wheels. why you would want oem-like mercedes spinners on a p5 (dunno).

the bling-bling style is not the way to go for a p5. if you think body kits and engine mods are rice, then you are ****** up. i agree, a lot of body kits are rice-like, but the p5 has some very tasteful ones as long as you stay away from onderground. imo, the look you want is ghetto. it sounds like the same s*** i see everytime i see local drug dealers driving their suvs around. i hate it, but its your car.

im sorry if you dont like our opinions, but we dont want to see you driving around in a ghetto fab p5. we are trying to help, would you rather have us lie and tell you 'your car the s***, dog?'

I get the same opinions when i post my car up. Dude i wouldnt get anything over 18's youll have to do to much work to get 20's on. I saw a blue p5 w/ spinners at pep boys, i kinda liked em didnt like the exact choice in rims he chose but it still made me look. Suicide doors/ lambo doors thats something i didnt even concider yet, i think going all 4 doors lambo would be better imo. Have you just concidered getting your handles shaved then getting a tight paint job on it? I used to have a honda civic and i crashed it. Then i bought a p5. When you see my car in person it looks like a 93 body style civic hatch w/ 4 doors. People have no idea my car is a mazda.

1flycostarican, Don't worry about what everyone has to say. Chances are you are talking to one of 10,000 who are bored at work who have nothing better to do than pick other's teeth.

If you are capable of half of the work you recently posted, more power to you. I think the problem lies in the fact that no one here's ever done it nor have they seen it done.

I can talk s*** all day about any person's car on this board, and the same of them towards me.

I think any of you who are attempting to mod a p5 for competitive street competition have more money than brains. Yes, it can be done, but theres always someone going to be faster than you. People are walking with cars (cheaper than we paid new!) with more stock horses than we expect to get, boosted. s***, even when you do attain your goal of "extremely fast", you've still got reliability issues, not to mention a sweet insurance payment to look forward to once you get caught hitting the streets with your whip. (Don't deny it!)

Anyway, go for it man. I briefly saw a black p5 that was slammed, tinted and on spinners that looked hot. 95% of the FWD spinners look horrible IMO, but you gotta find what works for you. Not the next guy.

All I gotta say is, mod your car cleanly, don't cut the corners that are so easily cut to move on to the next thing, or add to your LIST of "mods".
