PG Turbo Inlet

Does anyone know how well the PG turbo inlet fits with a CAI, I have the AEM dryflow. I read that it's rather hard to install with a CAI. Any info helps. Thanks!!

I've got one with the Injen CAI and fits perfectly fine. Its only hard to install if you leave the battery tray in. If you take out the entire battery tray it should be easy. I didn't take the battery tray out and it was a b****.....and still only took me about 2.5 hours to do. Otherwise, it may have only taken 30-45 minutes or so.

Thanks man, knowing me I would have never thought about the battery tray. Awesome, it's next on my list!

Yeah, I tore my hands up trying to get it installed without taking out the battery tray. Not fun. LOL

i did my buddies install in 20mins. take your battery and tray out like brad said and its cake!

Yeah with the tray out its a real easy install. The hardest part for me was just getting the battery in and out

There is a how to on here some where. A little longer than 20 minutes depending on your CAI (AEM is the multi piece, a little harder to get lined up correctly!) but is do able in an hour or so. First time I would plan for several hours and a back ache. Well worth it though, changes the car for the better! The biggest thing is making sure the boot that attaches to the turbo doesnt have any kinks and there are no leaks! If it sounds like a super charger you will have to start over! Do yourself a favor and make sure all your clamps are turned for easier access. Also, a power drill helped with the PCM beauty cover and some other things in a big way!

So out of curiosity, why do you have to start over if it sounds like a supercharger? Because mine almost sounds like one, but I know I installed it correctly.

A common issue is not tightening the clamp around the turbo inlet enough. It can come loose and create a leak making weird noises. I haven't heard them but thats what im assuming he means.

I have an all metal intake like you do and the air sucking noise is defniitely audible even under very low throttle (under -10mmHG boost). If you have a leak I would think the noise would be abnoxious.

That's what I was wondering. My inlet definitely sounds like a supercharger, but in a good way. Not obnoxious in any way. I'm still going to tear it all apart and reinstall it anyway to get better mounting points though.

Super charger is a very distinct winey noise. A turbo makes a sucking noise. They are different. If you hear the wining you are hearing the wrong noise and need to check for leaks.
