i know, congrats to the people who are getting thier cars, but damn, mine still hasnt come in :(

has anyone else been calling their dealers and asking whats up? i called mine last week and they said they are supposed to have some kind of meeting today so i will call tommorow and ask again. i mean ... if i have to wait till march...i guess i wont have to buy snow tires :p

but just..yeah...keep us all still waiting informed please.
thanks

Back in December, my dealer in Toronto said his second allotment (of 4 cars) would be coming in "any day now" and most likely before New Years. A few members on this forum got his first shipment.
Anyway, I called the day after New Years since if I signed the papers before Jan. 3, he was giving me a good deal - don't pay for 90 days, first payment is covered by the dealer, no gas/tire tax or admin. fee, etc. So naturally I was pretty hot to get it that day.
But when I called, they weren't in, and the dealer couldn't even get a VIN # so we could do the paperwork. So no deal. :( Then a week or so ago, I heard it would be 30-45 more days (mid February-ish). Now, in another thread started by Mark, the rumour is there is some other delay and the cars might not come until March. No one, not even the dealer, can tell me a definate time or what is going on. I'll send him an email today to see if they know what's up. What the heck, its been a long time since I've bothered them (4 days). :D
None of this bothers me, since I didn't want a car until springtime anyway, but I pity those that have been waiting since last summer!

My sales rep is calling bulls*** on the Mid March delivery for the next allotment of MSPs.

She has been pestering to find out when she will be getting in her next (my) Orange MSP in (first black one came in last week). She has been told that the second wave of repairs for the coolant return line have been completed and the MSPs will be shipped out ASAP, and that I should have my car within the next week.

Though this is not written in stone (cause i won't believe much less than that) it does give hope that we will not be waiting till Mid March...soo stay optimistic.

I sincerely hope that my salesman is wrong and that you all get the car very soon. I was merely passing on what I was told by him.

Why would he lie to me - I had my car. He said they received a memo on Friday and I just wanted to let you all know because I know it stunk being left in the dark for so long.

Again, I HOPE HE WAS WRONG!!!!!!!

Possibly that was for the release of the 2003.5? Or that was dealership specific info that he gave you? Just a couple thoughts keeping me optimistic.

My dealer is a elite dealer which is suppossed to get 12 speeds (three have been pre-sold including) mine. Mine was the first and only one to come in. He said the rest won't be here until March.

His exact words.

I hope he doesn't know what he is talking about!

Mark,

please dont take offense. i never blamed the messenger :D
i was just wondering what everyone else was hearing. currently, i think my car situation is clearing up, so i can wait awhile. as a matter of fact, id prefer to get it after winter is over. but i wouldnt mind to take delivery tommorow either ;)

Dex, I'm not taking offense to it, I just don't want to get you guys more upset after waiting so long only to find out my salesman is a Putz and didn't have his facts straight. I'm just feeling guilty.

Like you I would have rather waited longer through the winter because I already have three cars but I decided to take it because like everyone else, I would have never known when to expect the new shipment. I jumped on the opportunity when I had the chance!

Good luck Dex.

MSP arrivals

Here's what I heard from my local dealer. But first let me tell you about a bummer for some college kid. Apparently he understands what a MSP is. Had an inheritance or something to that effect and had dibs on the first MSP. It came in and my dealer called and said I could look at it but not drive it. Fair enough. Turns out his Mom spent the inheritance or it never materialized but he couldn't buy it even with credit. I feel bad for him. Good for me, cause I'm next in line right. My dealer has always been good about paying off my trade-in. Not on Saturday. 2002 Nissan Xterra XE, loaded and more. $14,000. WTF? I know, the used car market is flooded. Anyway, I'll sell it on my own, hopefully.

HERE'S THE BEEF: Local dealer getting 8 more MSPs in 8 weeks (about 1 per week, so he says). That's what I heard. :D

my dealer doesnt know whats up, but he is raisin some hell i think. I pointed out to him that while he, an elite mazda dealer with every award and commondation that mazda offers on their website and the number one volume dealer in the state, only got ONE BLACK msp in the first batch. Other lesser area dealers got multiple cars and in several cases, orange ones.....
