Just found out some bastard hit and run my girlfriend's car last night in a parking lot from her phone call. She felt very sad and frustrated of course. Not only am I pissed, but felt really helpless about the situation. This already happened to my MP3 a few months back. Scraped my driver side rear bumper and rim. And just when my girlfriend's old car broke down and she ended up getting herself a new Scion xA a little more than a month ago, somebody just HAVE to damage her new car...And I was too busy working overtime that can't even go comfort her & check out the damage tonight. Its just sad, and she worked so hard to to save up money for it too, as her job pays pretty low. Seems like at least one of the door is damaged, with paint scraped through the primer and probably a big dent. Lets hope it doesn't get to other panels or the other door as well. Sometimes, I really wonder if there is even any goodness left in the majority of people out there. From numerous hit & run incident& vandalism I heard in here, my MP3 incident a few months back, then my old CRX got broken in a couple weeks ago, now my girlfriend's new Scion. Seems like these things have no end, and it is always caused by someone else, no matter how nice you are, how careful you are, and how hard you try to respect others property. They'll always do something to you sooner or later...

Let's just hope the damage is not too bad when I see the car tomorrow. But we'll have to lose a few hundred bucks as she has a $500 collision deductable on her insurance. People just suck...

By the way. Does anyone of you guys happen to know some really good body shops that doesn't rip people off around Bay Area, CA? Especially around San Jose? Really appreciate some pointers as I need to visit one very soon, but not sure where to look for quality service. After all, I want the car to look as good as new to bring back a smile on my girlfriend. Thanks in advance.

I had this happen to me once. I was at a concert, just cleaned my truck, and got new tires that morning. When me and my girlfriend get out to the parking lot, I cant find my truck. Someone had parked next to me, in the road. But before that happened, someone had slammed into my tailgate, and pushed my truck sideways. Luckily the truck didnt slam into the car beside it. I get to it, see the damage, then see a note on my windshield. Im thinking, cool someone left me their phone number and address. When I look at the note, all it says is "Oops." Bastards. I have rarely been as mad as I was that night.

Sorry to hear about your girlfriends car. Did she call in a police report? Maybe they can find the bastards that did it.

I hear you man. "Oops".....sigh. Some people are just unbelievable.

She didn't file a police report. Maybe the damage was not that significant(hopefully). And by the time she's off work and saw her car got hit, it was like 2am in the morning. I guess I'll find out how bad it is, and probably call up the insurance guy if the damage worth more than the $500 deductable.

my physics teacher told me before that cops can always track down hit and runs because the person who hit you will surely leave some of his paint on your car. now, i dont know if he was telling the truth, but he said with even a pepper-size piece of the paint, they can find the model of the car, the year, and etc. i dont know if cops would actually do this kind of stuff, but just file a report and ask them about this.

that "oops" thing is just ****** up...
