People in the Know like the MSP

I live in Bastrop texas, a pretty small town. Every Saturday night a bunch of guys get together and lineup in the old HEB parking lot here. There are usually everything from '32 duece to supercharged 2003 Mustangs. And Generally a few tuners.

SO I show up with my brand new MSP with the paper tags still on and park in the lot behind a ways from the show. Basically because I don't presume I am worthy to get in line with the guys who have obviously spent a lot on upgrades. I walk over and I start looking around at the dozen or so cars. a T-bucket a blown 68 camaro, a couple Mustangs, etc. When I get to the hondas one of the owners says, "Hey man is that your mazdaspeed?" I agreed and all of a sudden about 20 folks run over and are lined up around the MSP checking it out inside and asking questions and under the hood and one guy was even crawling around looking underneath it.

Then one of the guys with a Civic SI with a CAI, some head work and exhaust wants to race. And I tell him that "Dude, I don't even have a license plates yet. " ;)

Its nice to hear that other car owners gave you that level of respect for your car. I get really tired of people say stuff like, "Honda Sucks, Mazdas are the only cars I'll ever drive." Or the whole truck thing, "Chevys are the best, Fords suck." The group you were hanging out with, my kinda people.

Hondas ******* suck. I'll only drive Mazdas.

I too was surprised at the interest in the MSP at a local club meeting. When I told a couple of the group members I had an MSP, they came right over and started asking questions and checking it out.. and then more people started looking all over it. It was a cool experience.

Later, there was a guy that brought a supercharged Miata which I thought was awesome... and we did crowd around it... me especially since it was the exact setup I wanted to do my Miata before I traded it for the MSP.

I had a guy in wrx talk with me for about a half hour about my car. He said it was the only other car he was considering and complemented mine multiple times.

have the same type of story for the frst night I drove mine by the car guys.I stopped there to only take a look at my ex-boss's new m3.....when I showed up, everyone was around the speed instead of the new m3 :)

...cute, well, in a manly sort of way....

"looks good on YOU though..."

(note: The above was HUMOR ONLY. I actually REALLY LIKE the p5. Well-balanced, perhaps better so than the MSP, and with more creature comforts. They're, well, kinda cute ;) .)

mazda is ******* tight but i LOVE honda, vw, nissans and subarus as well. Of course i love BMW and the other high end cars but dont we all?

yeah that happened at my first life meet. like people started peeking into my wheelwells, asking to open the hood, checking out the radio, and i even took one person for a ride.
