Parts from japan...

Potential Scammer!
Alrighty, since i'm suuuuccchhhh a nice guy *wink wink* ;) i'm putting out an open invitation to anyone (local oahu residents) who wants any parts while i head my arse out of the country for a bit for the '05 Tokyo Auto Salon. NO BULK items please! it has to be able to fit inside luggage space and shouldn't look too conspicious where they might question taxing it (white lying on paper only gets you so far ;) hehe).

anyway, if you're interested please write down a list of a couple things (don't make me search for a billion things, LOL) just incase if i can't find an item or two maybe you'll make out with an item or two at least. i'll be staying in the yokohama area at a friend's house, the show is at the Makuhari Messe somewhat in the Chiba area (for the most part still tokyo) so at least you'll have a better generalized area of things. not sure how much traveling i'll be doing so going to a specific shop might not be certain but maybe they'll be selling what you want at the show itself). going to be leaving/staying 2 days before and after the show (i'm going to say the 12th of january till the 18-19th). i'd say reply or PM me with what you want/need and i'll see what i can do (NO GUARANTEES!! LOL :)) btw, you'll have to give me a rough deposit of what the item costs because i probably won't have too much extra spending cash on me to cover the bill. to avoid conflict i'll write up a signed receipt if you reeeaaallly don't trust me with it, LOL ;)(evil) (bicker)

Oh wow you're going to Tokyo Auto Salon? I'm jealous! If I can think of little stuff to buy I'll hit you up with a PM

Man,

I never thought I would say this, but I really can't think of any parts I want you to bring me from Japan. :( Me the guy who blows stupid ass amounts of money on the tiniest little things. I just got the MazdaSpeed touring kit thermostat and horn button in my last shipment and those were the only two things I could think of that were small enough for you to bring back.

So, bring back lots of pics and brochures from the Auto Salon and that should be good. Unless you want to hop a train to Osaka and go slap the guys at Work Wheels around and tell them to hurry up with my order. :D Have a safe trip and enjoy!

Vern - That was free thank you very much. lol.

Jarret - The thermostat cost me like $90 shipped from japanparts.com. I'm sure Allen can get you one for cheaper.

mazdaspdprotege - Yeah, MazdaSpeed sells an overpriced little horn button. It's actually made for, I believe, the Momo sterring wheels and of course the MazdaSpeed steering wheels. I'm putting mine on my Sparco steering wheel though.

Mike - Dude, I could be wrong, but last time I checked Samco hoses came from England not Japan.

the samco hoses and the jdm cupholders are iffy but the new driver magnets/stickers are easy. they might have the hoses at autobacs but even that's still iffy. the jdm license plates are probably harder to get because you have to give them up when you turn in the car so they're not as easy as it sounds. i'll see what i can do though.

I'm not in Hawaii, but I would be the most grateful person in the world if you could bring me back an AZ-1 badge. Just say no here and PM me with a yes...It will be our secret.

cool dude and dont worry about anything you cant or dont wanna get... just remember that you are the one doing us a favor so we should be grateful (lol2) thanks! -mike

Of course I was wrong...

lol. I've thought of two things that won't take up space and I can actually afford. Of course finding them will be a whole other story.

1. A pair of the A-Spec stickers (in black please) as featured on the Atenza A-Spec below. If not no worries, I'll see if Aloha can create me some.

2. The MazdaSpeed rear view mirror cover. Also pictured below:

Just let me know which you think you can get and how much you'll need to cover the cost.

Thanks,

Lang

2. JDM wakaba magnet badge x 2
3. Option Decal (like on my rear bumper)
4. JDM sticker - Safety Check (if the price is decent, cheaper than ebay)
5. Navi or Sport Emblem

what's the AZ-1 badge look like?

chris- the option sticker shouldn't be a problem. the last time i went in '03 they had the option booth that had loads of stickers (most of them the "good" kind of stickers meaning they're real thin slivers of metal stickers not just vinyl).

everyone else- badges and stickers... gotcha. i'll see what i can do.

I can't find a picture of an AZ-1 badge. Heres the car. I just want the sticker or badge that they put on it that says AZ-1

if it's an older car i highly doubt it, LOL.

there is an xbox game that i really really want called metal wolf chaos. it's a totally kickass mech game and i would like to get my hands on a copy. if you can get it relatively cheap maybe used at some game store that would be GREAT. if not then i guess i'll import it new. anyways, not really car parts at all, just a thought.
