Have you ever connected your Palm TX thru BT with any other BT device?
If not, your BT chip on your Palm may need an update or is even defected w/o you knowing it. The fact that you have connected two Samsungs with CX9 tells me that the CX9 side is not at fault.
In early days, some implementation of BT was flawed. Very often than not, a firmware update to fix BT was needed. Check your Palm website to see if there is any update available for it. If you never used it, you would never know that there is a problem.
