Paintless dent repair.

Not sure if they do these things in the USA but here in the UK we can get paintless dent repairs done. Well beware! What they appear to do is drill a hole in your car in a place nobody will see, stick the panel tool in and push the dent out. I put new speakers in my 2 last week and when I took the interior panels off on the inner wheel arches on both sides of the car were a hole of about 5mm across. Yet looking outside on the plastic furry wheel arch liners there is no sign of any damage whatsoever. It's a man made hole too, not rust or anything nasty like that. Anyway speaking to a body shop and they reckon it will be one of these dent removal firms that will have done it. They're supposed to block the hole up with a bung of some sort after doing the work but in this case that clearly never happened. So if you get a dent removed on ya car, make sure they tidy up properly after doing the work and don't just leave an open drilled hole in your car body. Mine is easily fixed which is good.

As an insurance adjuster I deal with PDR all the time. It's better than "bondo-ing" or replacing a ton of parts for minor hail damage for sure. But they def are not supposed to do much body work if any and I would imagine any hole would have to have corrosion protection put on the bare metal.
