painting RAM air intake (ebay)

Hey guys... just a quick question, if anyone can answer. Can I paint the rubber pieces of the intake with the same paint I used to paint my calipers? I used a 900 degree caliper paint and wanted to know if I coudl use that. Any suggestions appreciated!

No that stuff gets stiff when it dries and will crack when you put it on a soft and bendable surface
