Painted badges vs. shaved

I voted to shave them, but I think you should remove the Mazda and the P5 badge, leave the flying M, but paint it black (flat or gloss, not sure what you'd prefer). I think an entirely bare hatch is just too plain, but the black M would really pop off the back of the car and provide enough contrast. Just a thought.

I think I'm going to shave everything but the left side (Protege5) badge, then replace it with an EDM 323 badge. I'm still trying to decide if I want to paint that one black or eave it silver.

I'd be proud to show off that you're in a mazda. The Mazda family is a great one to be in. Get the 323 badge, keep the "Mazda" and the flying M but paint them all black.

Maybe just get the "flying m" shaved but definitely leave some "mazda" back there. Whenever I see pics of a debadged Protege5 (moreso if it is a black one) it just reminds me of a civic si

Yeah I've always thought it looked more like an EK hatch (is that the right designation? The 97ish one?) when they're debadged. Well that trashed my plan, I guess I'll just see what happens after I get em painted.
