Paint you rims and fuel door....CHEAP!

OEM option. I just painted it.

I put new tires on the front and had them balanced before the on car photos were taken. The tires were painted over because i was getting new tires. You can see how badly it thrashed my paint work. If i seem annoyed, its because of the tone of your post. I went to the trouble to post this for everyone so if you have a question I will be happy to answer it, but I can do with out the "OMG what a noob" attitude. The center caps still spin freely take yours off if you like. I saw no need, nor do I now.
Hey man, no offense intended. I'm certainly the n00b here.

I just thought that if someone were to follow your instructions they might benefit from taking a few extra steps to prevent needing touch up work in the future when they got new tires, the caveat being that rattle-can painted wheels don't tend to survive the wheel mounting process anyway, so it may be a moot point to bother with the extra work.

Personally, I'd remove the tires and powdercoat 'em... but of course that's going to cost ten times more than a Krylon job.

Which is persicely the point of this thread. It cost me like $20 or so. If something does happen to the rims, its as easy as washing them and adding another coat which is one of the reasons i didnt clear them. If it was something you had to redo on a weekly or monthly basis it would indeed not be worth the work. As I am on month two and the still look great I think its a great way for someone to add something to the aesthetics of the car on the cheap until they can afford rims. Thats my situation, i have so many other things to spend money on I wanted to wait on the rims until this set of tires wear out.

I go through probably 3 sets of tires a year on average:

1 set of race tires and 1 set of street tires on the race car, and usually between snow tires and street tires on the SVX, Saab, and F-250 there's usually one more set a year that need replacing.

well touche my friend, touche......
