Anyone out there put on the 3M paint protection or the polysheild (and can you tell me what the poly shield is?) I live in NE CT so I've got R.I. and Ma. available for any recommendations.

Thanks in ADV.

Update 3/27/09:
On order for the M3 - Venture shield product for bumper, hood, mirrors. Looking at tint too but not this mod.
On order for the M6 - invisible mask product (becuase they didn't have it in the venture shield) same stuff as 3. Total cost was around $700 for both cars and I install. It look easy enough and with a white 3...rocks show TOO easy!

I have to tell you, I wasted a a couple hundred ordering the clear bra and tried installing it myself. The bumper is hardest to do. A local shop here in MD does it for $499 installed for the complete pkg. (hood, fenders, mirrors, and bumper)

dont do it! looks decent, only decent for the first few months then the weather starts to get to it and it starts to fog up leaving ur car looking like s***!

The right film and proper install will not fog up. I have seen cars like my buddy's e46 m3 who had it on since day 1. 4 years later, you can't tell it has a clear bra on. Of course, he maintained it like the rest of the painted surfaces on his car. Frequent washes and quality wax/sealant a couple times a year.

I plan on ordering from Rockblocker again this year....I installed it myself on my old Mazda5 and it turned out great. Didn't fog, fade or crack. Although, I put some headlight tinted film on and they sort of melted in the spot where the halogen is...don't recommend doing that. I had heard the same from a few guys but had to try it myself. Looked good at first...but after turning the high beams on, disaster!

Just bought a 2009 Mazda 6 and I'm going to put a shield on it. Did it on my 2006 Altima and it still looks great. I think if its installed properly and a quality shield it will look good for years. Kind of like those cheap teinted windows installations, they tend to make bubbles and look like s**t. :)

Ming Titanium tint and Uv Shield are great quality tints, they cost a little more and are available from car dealers with lifetime warranties against bubbling, de lamination, fading, tearing etc and the workmanship. Some smaller dodgy shops will try to sell it with lifetime warranty but be careful many smaller shops only warrant the film not the installation, so if they stuff it up whilst putting it on, its not covered.
