i have a silver 1988 mazda B2600 there where some rust spots which i have properly taken car of, the question i have is about repainting, what do i need to do to make the new paint match the old paint? and how much is it going to cost? i want to do it right but i dont want to brake my bank eather

Paint shops can add a chemical to the paint that 'ages' it. In 1987, a girl I dated in high school got hit in her 1979 Civic (never been waxed in its life) and the paint shop added something the the new paint to make it look as old as the original paint. Granted this was a long time ago, but I know a process exists.

The other option is to have the entire vehicle buffed out so all the paint looks new. If it's too far gone, this isn't an option but if it's just oxidized, there's a chance it could work.

you cant get the new paint to match the old paint no matter what, if u take it to a good body shop they will fade the new paint into the old paint so its not as noticable

and you cant buff paint to make it look new, you buff the clear coat which has no effect on the color, its a 1988 so the paint is going to be faded

not sure how much its gonna cost because i dont know how many rust spots you have
best bet is take it to body shops around town and get a quote on it
