P5 versus Matrix

hahahah thats funny... the Matrix has 17s and "better tires" bla bla , and can only pull .3 more g's than the P5 which has 16s... whos your daddy indeed....

No i have the 2zz 180HP found in the celica GT-S..and the RSX only has about 10more torque than i have and 200HP which really means nothing 20 more than i have.. but it has some lbs on it..almost weighs as much as i do and im a Matrix..lol. Its just like the Honda Prelude which has 200HP and 153TQ..it weighs over 3,000lbs! and i have test driven the SRT-4 2003 and 2004 models...both with the limiter that only lets u rev to 6,000rpms before bogging down! its a quick car...never said it wasnt just its not me.. Its still a damn neon! its made cheap thats why it costs so little! and nobody will buy a neon at 30K! like a WRX STI or Evo8!
 
why are you so concerned about how high the car revs? What difference does it make other than one has to sound like a pissed off bumble bee before it makes power. The higher you have to rev to make power the less practical on the street it becomes...

why do you think they lowered the Redline on the S2000?

All the kiddypeter he's hung on it doesn't help the original lame design.
Looks like someone had some bad sushi and designed the thing in the dark...

As for PrecyseStylez heroics from 0-165 in 3 seconds, I'd better hide my '04 2SK.
His nightmare would outrun me in the first 50 feet. (lol2)

Actually, he couldn't beat my modded P5 with a stick from 0-60.
As for handling, he'd have that cabbage wagon in the trees at the first corner.

You do realize that after a certain point that obtaining more g's from a car is difficult. For example, a MSP can do between .89 and .91g according to most reviews but a Corvette can only do .95g. That .4 difference albeit a smaller number is a significant increase. Even most of the articles where they do a major suspension upgrade of a SRT-4 shows only a .3g at the most increase. I would venture to say that even the P5 with a great set of tires could only increase it's grip up to that of the Matrix. Even after that is all said, I was only showing the comparison to piont out that both cars are very similiar in handling.

As I stated in my post on this topic, I did trade in my Vibe when all was said and done for a Mazda because of the negatives.
 
great.... which is why, I didnt understand how you could say "whos your daddy" when the comparo shows that the matrix hardly beat the P5 with bigger tires.

What do revs have to do with power? The K20 is a MUCH better motor than a 2zz. 20hp means alot in cars of this class. The SRT-4 has a "limiter" because it doesn't make power past redline, is this concept so hard to understand? It's called torque, maybe one day your Yamaha motor will have some. The motor "bogs" down after about 6,000 because it makes all it's power in the midrange where it is actually useful. Much like your motor "bogs down" until it hits 6,000 rpm. As for the SRT-4 being still a "neon" a Matrix is still a fat Corolla.

SRT-4's are right at 20,000 sticker. What are you talking about at $30,000? Oh, and EVo's are gay, they only rev to 6800. ;)

My car sounds like no honda..lol no canister sound from me!..the Mazda RX-8 has a 10,000rpm redline..its sure as hell isnt loud! just honduds!

Yeah...and makes 159 trq.....all that revving is so worth it! (lol2) It makes peak power at 238 @ 8500 RPM so why rev to 10,000rpm?

Never said the neon was 30K..said nobody would buy it if it was 30K, thats why they made it cheap..It has a damn turbo!..thats why its faster! i dont..u dont..we dont...lol and the K20 isnt all that! not in the RSX-s..they are as fast as the Celica GT-S..i have no race motor but its not weak either..and the matrix xrs only weighs around 2,700lbs..thats why the new Lotus Elise uses my engine and puts outs 190HP and 133TQ but does 60 in like 4.5!..thats crazy and reason being the car weighs as much as sh!t..weight matters also and the RSX-s weighs some lbs..weighs more than the GT-S i know that much!

i make about 230HP @ 7,600rpms!..lol to the crank anyway
