P5 Tranny Problem...

THIS noise is bothering me!!! We need to find a fix!

Yeah...it sounds like plastic rubbing together, but I'll be damned if I can make the car do it when the engine is off.

Sometimes when i press the clutch down half way, and give a LIL gas, it does it too. It really is annoying...

Someone has to know what this is... I hope... Before I go crazy and start banging on stuff to make it reproduce that hideous sound. ACK!

On a side note: I'm going to get an XM unit. Anyone got any suggestions on where to put it or which one to get?

Damn...

The noise is higher everyday...
When i press on the gas pedal , it does the little whinny sound..
I think I'm gonna go at dealer..What is the problem??

Well I have no answer but I have not noticed the sound in the past couple days...go figure. I do have another question for everybody...what rpm does your engine idle at (manuals)? mine seems to be around 500 i think. I was wondering if that was too low??

mine idles around 700... i have to check tomorrow to see...

Sorry...I have been away for a couple days. My problem was not what you described. It was more whiny then squeaky.

Can anyone post a cause/resolution after seeing their dealer?
