P5 to be boosted by summer

well, as you can tell from my post in the p5 section i blew up my engine with nitrous for a second time. so while i have the engine apart this time i am gonna build it for turbo. i am going to be ordering the forged pistons and rods from the stroker kit that knight turbos sells, and then when summer time comes around put the turbo and some kind of engine management on
 
Yo what up MacProtege5, i see your from Doylestown, i live in yardley not to far away. There isnt many people on this site from Buck County PA. Sorry to hear bout your car, it seems our 2.0l dont hold up to well to nitrous.
What dealer do you go to??

God damn, I just can't stop laughing.(rofl) This will happen to at least 90% of the people that use N2O, I guarantee it.(rofl)

Anyway, do you think it will happen to 90% of all n20 users or just on our engines? Why?

I don't know about all of our engines, but I know it will happen to ours unless you use wet shop and also fuel enrichment. I don't know why everyone that is using N2O isn't using fuel enrichment. It's just completely stupid. Would you build a turbo system without fuel enrichment. It's the same thing. If I were using N2O, I'd use propane injection, it's cheap and it's easy.
 
Damn I have never seen such I high failure rate for nitrous. Are you guys using a FPR and colder plugs?
 
ok, since i shouldn't go with tkt where should i go to get the pistons that i need? 8.5:1 compression to fit the stock block and forged. i can get the rods from pauter
 
sounds good mke sure you get some chromolly piston rings with that too. The crank and block should hold up well. With an engine managment system you should get about 15psi no prob, without engine managment you will be stuck at 8psi because you are still utilizing the stock fuel and ignition tables. I know the ecu cannot take more than 12psi, the MAF and ecu freak out. So perhaps with piggy system like the emange you may get up to 10psi but that the limit unless you go with a full standalone
 
yeah, i definetly plan on going with a stand alone, i just need to find those pistons, someone said they were working with wiseco pistons to get some made for our cars, i was just wondering how that was going
 
I've been to Top End...not to far from me. Those guys have been in the turbo biz for a long time. They have a little ad thats been in the back of Turbo Mag for years. Spoke with the owner in person once...seemed like a real down to earth honest guy (very knowledgeable).

I know that the ZEX Kit is supposed to enrich the fuel through the control module to compensate for the N2O. I feel that my blown motor was caused by the miss shift more than the N2O, however I also feel that the N2O probably weakend the motor a little or alot. But it was a hell of a blast while it lasted. :D

Although if I had it to do all over agian I would wait and go turbo without a doubt!

My car still isn't quite right, damn mechanics....I feel like that one older commercial were the guy calls his shop and the mechanic tells him that "he has his best guys on it right now", and you can see them in the back ground actually laying on the guys car! That is how I feel exactly because everytime I call my shop he tells me that he looked at this and that but still no fix...GRRR!!!!!!!!

damn it damn it damn it, it turns out i won't be going turbo, but for N/A instead, i have the racingmazda.com header on the way also the 10.7:1 pistons on the way also, i also plan on doing many other things to

You cease to amaze me at how much money you waste on that car. You have blown two engines, and now you want to go with NA. Do you realize there is next to no power to be gained with NA unless you spend large sums of money. You will be kicking yourself in 6 months and $6000 later.

This retaliatory attack here was not cool. (notcool) If you know Ben, that accually was not a personal attack on you, but he just gave you some advice, and asked some questions. I must say that Ben really didn't lay into you like he could have. He has seen the results of me doing my N/A, J-spec setup, and has looked at the experiences of Chdesign and knows that it is easier and more cost effective to go turbo (if done right!) Please refrain from "personal attack mode" in the future unless you want to troll the Flamewars section. Thank you and have a cool ass day!:cool:
