Hope I'm posting this in the right thread. If not, move me.

I just want to give Thermal Research a plug because I had a great experience with them. (2thumbs)

I bid $250 for a $540 catback on E-bay and won. No one else bid on it. I found out why after it arrived. The catback did not fit because it was a damaged item, probably in original shipping. Person I bought from was going out of business so the only option was to call Thermal. I spoke to Chuck the owner and he asked me to ship it back to him for inspection or I can drive to Thermal and he'll install it for me.

Shipping was more than the cost of the drive so I took a 3 hour drive to Lancaster. He told me the mid pipe was damaged in shipping and he straighten it in less than 5 minutes. He also added an additional support on the muffler like the one on the newer catbacks (this catback was also an old stock). He then installed the catback on my P5 and all was done for free. He also spent the time to make sure the muffler was straight and he even cleaned my catback for me.

The person who had his car worked on before mine also drove 3 hours to have chuck repair his catback for free and he gave Chuck and his products nothing but praises.

I am very impressed with Thermal and its products. I love my Apexi but I love my Thermal even more.

It's nice to see manufacturers supporting their prod., and good for you on calling them. I e-mailed Ractive about my axle back exhaust not lining up right and havent herd a thing. Go figure. Like the sound though!

That's exactly why I gave Thermal a plug. Thermal also does not make claims on X number of hp gain with their CL catbacks rather they just state that they are designed for highly modified vehicles and will help improve mid to high range performance. That's exactly what happened after the catback install. I lost a noticeable acceleration at low rpm but once it hit 4500 the difference was huge. I even accidentally red line it to 7500 rpm. Now I have to add more mods to get my low end back.
