Mazda Protege5
Hey guys, first post here. So I bought struts off of rockauto and when I began to start the job I realized that all of the sway bar end links were incredibly rusted on. So now the game plan is to replace those as well. But when I look for them on rockauto they tell me there is multiple sizes. I am not sure how to find out what size I need or how much it matters. I have a 2002 Mazda Protege5. How should I measure the old ones if thats what I need to do? Just the bar? Or from centre to centre? Sorry to be a bother. Was hoping to order the parts tonight. Thanks for your help!

I never had to measure anything. Maybe someone can chime in here, but all protege 2000-2003 end links are the same size, the rear ones differ. I bought all 4 once, only to return to exchange the rear because they were longer or shorter. I think the p5 has the same suspension as the Mazda Speed. If you need bolt on upgrade some people recommend Ford Escape ones, theres a link somewhere in the forum.

Thanks for the response RensoreK. Yeah I figured the back were gonna be different from the front. But it gives me a couple different sizes for the fronts and the backs. I found this very odd. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

P5 and sedan and MSP rears are all different. P5 is "Sport suspension" but not the msp sport suspension. They are actually the shortest of all the rear ones at about 6 1/2". You want Moog Part #K80868
