P5 Sideskirts????

:
Rust Bucket
I have a question about the p5 sideskirts, if i want to take them off how do i do it?
cuz i took the two bolts off at the front and i think they used like some kind of adhesive the rest of the way??
just wondering if i could take them off and put them back on with out using glue of some sort

They slide onto tabs/Clip's that snap into the body..There is no tape on them.

BUT..Find out how to take them off first..They are a pain from what I remember seeing and you can hurt them removing them wrong.
Talk to someone whos done it first before attempting.

but alright im sure i can manage to find someone whos done it before, if not then ill just try my luck and see how it goes

Before you take them off go to the dealer and pick up a bunch of the clips used to hold them on, you will break some taking them off.

oh i didnt even think about looking in the manual lol thanks though

why remove the sideskirts?
because im thinkin of goin with the buddy club 2 side skirts, the stock ones are a little too plain for me, just my opinion tho and if i dont like the buddyclub2 ones then ill have to put the stock ones back on lol

try and post some pic of those side skirts!! Cus i'm looking to get some side skirts, and i would like to see how the aftermarket ones looks vs the oem.

i can post a pic of my brothers sideskirts, but his is a sedan not the p5, they use the same side skirts basically tho, ill have them for u in a minute if i can find them...

those sideskirt clips are rediculously expensive!

i went off the road in February and the skirt got torn off on my passangers side.
i went to the dealer the next day to get new clips, and they told me theres about 18, 12 of one kind, and i believe 6 of the other. 2 different clips, for $4.75, and 5.75 each!

it would have been around 60 bucks to do that, so i've yet to put my sideskirt back on

i was thinkin around that much for all of them but i guess im stickin to the stock sides then

those bc2 ones look good, but personally id get the erebuni skirts instead, they flow much better with the lines of the car and with the stock bumpers.

Go to the hardware/autopart store and get an assortment of "xmas trees". They are those little plastic pieces that normally hold interior door panels to the door structure. When I bought my sideskirts used, I was missing several of the clips. I replaced them with those xmas trees and it's worked great.

I am looking to remove my sideskirts as well. Did you ever figure out how to remove the clips without breaking them?
