P5 owners w/ 17 or 18 inch wheels

Bala, what tire size do you run on your wheels.. from some of your pics it definitely looks larger than the 215/35/18 that everyone runs. Are your fenders rolled or something?

215/40/18's - no problem with clearing the fender lip even on the P5 (You should see when I load up at Costco ). 48mm offset on a 7.5" wheel. It is rather toight ...

when I had 215/40/17s on my 17x7 (which I believe is 48mm offset) I had tighter clearance than that.. maybe my offset isn't what I think it is haha.

Yeah me too, I'm definitely going for the 17" due to road conditions here. Thinking of the Rota's Tarmac 3 in sport bronze in 17 x 7.5.

You won't lose quickness if you keep the overall dimension to the original size. You upsize the rim, but downsize the tire height.

Well, wheel weight is also a factor. Your car will be less quick with heavier wheels.

Hey guys, i'd love to show off my rims but i don't have them yet. i was going back and forth between 17's and 18's too. you all helped me out and i'm going with 17's... i'm not going to be winning any shows with my car so why not go with something a little more reasonable. you guys have some sick cars though, hope to get mine looking half that good!

Thanks dude. Those are the rims I currently have on the car (well...I'm on winter steelies right now, but once the warmer weather comes, I'm going back to the ones in that pic).

I just get bored of stuff quickly and have tried to change things up each year. But I'm hoping to keep those rims for a while. The ones before (Rev Model II) I loved as well....but I ended up denting one of them
