Aaron, 30... uh... (quick math here) 33 yeah! Bought my P5 in September '04. I regularly redline shift it and have mastered heel-toe in it - even with the tiny throttle pedal. I need bigger pedals. Hot damn! I'm amazed I haven't gotten a speeding ticket yet. Anyone recommend a good radar detector?

do a search there was a big thread on this, ima say pick up a better line cobra for 130 bux others will say spend like 300 on a valentine 1 its all up to u

Best radar detector.. Common sense and your eyes. Most of the time, if you're picking them up, then they've already got you.

i disagree my detector has saved me many times especially at night when u cant see them but there gun can :)

If you must have a detector, get the V1.
It is extremely when the cop car is a few cars behind you and you didn't know about it.

meh.. i've pretty much learned to identify cop cars by the pattern and shape of their headlights.

other than that, i just don't speed as much anymore since i lost my license. oh yeah, both times i got tickets i had my detector on and it didn't go off.

I learned to identify their headlights and taillights shapes too.
But in case when they are hiding behind other SUV or Minivan and you don't have a direct line of sight to them, the detector comes in handy.

Ah, I feel obligated to post. Danielle, 20, (21 in August...21 run anyone?!) I've had my Shiney Monster for almost a year and I've spent way too much money on her!

Radar guns with POP mode will do that. They suck.

Yeah, Instant-On or whatever it's called. Detector was supposed to pick that up too. It wasn't a cheap one.. Can't remember what it was but it was in the range of 250 bucks.

I'm just convinced, especially after reading numerous stories and articles written by police, that they don't really work.

im 19 and i miss my 1990 Civic 5spd.. but this shure does make my memory wiht my civic fade.. the p5 does some wicked ebrake slides
