P5 headlight & foglight advice

Having trouble blowing my headlights. The ones purchased off eBay last for about 1-year (blue 4000k or 5000k) - H7 55w.

Can anyone recommend a superior quality replacement bulb with a life longer than 1-year? Also looking for good fog light replacement advice.

I don't know if the junk on ebay (japan/korea) made headlights are to blame or am I expecting too much? Let me know if anyone thinks Silverstars are the way to go. I'm tired of spending good money on junk bulbs.

Thanks in advance,

JC

Silverstars only last me about a year on the stock headlights. I have to replace my bulbs yearly no matter what kind I use.

If you want to maximize light output there's no better halogen bulb than Osram 65w H7s.

that woudnt be very smart to run higher wattage bulbs than reccommended. Could fry something.

If you wanna run a 65w or higher bulb then build a heavy duty wiring harness for them first.

Stock bulbs are 55w. You could probably get away with running 65w bulbs on stock wiring, but you're right--a protected circuit and relay is the correct way to do it.

BTW doing the wiring isn't hard. I recently did it w/no prior experience.
