When I bought my P5 (cheap, I might add), I basically picked the one I did becuase it was red, and the dealer had put an exhaust pipe on it...after he sale, the dealer and I realized that it wasn't a no namer...it was an actual Mazdaspeed exhaust.

What's a brotha got to do to score more of these parts?

I'd love to make my P5 a stretched MSP, but my dealer said they couldn't sell me the turbo charger and related parts...where can I find the EXACT parts on a MSP for sale?

What parts do I need to truly make my MP5 a stretch? Thanks!

Well if you want the "exact" parts on a MSP then you can first start off by selling the Mazdaspeed exaust that came with your car lol.... thats not the MS exaust that comes with the MSP.

Jus a heads up.

yea, the racing beat catback is the same as the stock msp muffler

Actually its not the RB cat back....... its just the RB rear section just like the ones that came with the MP3s.

My dealer was willing to do a full conversion, till I found out it would be cheaper to buy n MSP, however, thats cause they were gonna do service, if you could do it yourself, it would be cheap. Also, you could probably by a wrecked speed, or the by it piece by piece.

same muffler right? just diff piping

The MSP didnt come with a catback ... it came with a mazdaspeed exaust that is basically just the same as the RB exaust that came on the MP3

Maybe it's the open bottle of white out, but now I'm confused. What the hell do I have on my car then????

Sweet, sweet fumes...

you have a Mazdaspeed brand exhaust...
as far as an MSP conversion, the only way you should do it is to find a wrecked MSP and scavenge everything. I would suggest that you go to the Forced Induction tech section of the forum and ask for suggestions of just turbo-ing the car. you'll get a much better product (i.e. forged internals, bigger turbo, and a safer up-ed boost by going with independent dealers than trying to just do an MSP conversion)

well it is an aftermarket axle back exhaust sold by mazdaspeed japan. It adds about 4hp not much...

iv done this to my P5..the racingbeat muffler and the mazdaspeed tip (ovel)of an MSP..its the same size pipe, bolts straight on,hangers are the same, but the P5 is like 6 to 7 inces shorter than the sedan so you get you tip way the f@#k out ther, we all hate that..to fix this cut removed the tip and moved it back to the muffler and done, looks good, sounds good, moved to power up the rpm band.. i love it
