system too lean at ldle.. i chekced every vacuum hose and recir hose, seems no leak at all, sometime my rpm is bouncing around when its cold, and when i back in neutral during higher speed my rpm stays at around 1200,it will drop to normal rmp when car is stop. also i check the o2 sensor, it looks fine just kinda dirty(maybe cause my cattless dp), plus i only hold 15psi(should be more like 17psi with cattless dp/rp?). what could it be wrong??? someone with knowledge please help this bro out!!im really have no clue whats going wrong. my mods r BOV,INTAKE,INLET,CATTLESS DP/RP. any help will be greatly appracited!!!!

check your inlet tube at the turbo to make sure it's tight. They can work themselves loose. Boost will fluctuate if the car is targeting torque/load vs. boost, so that could be normal and will change with weather/barometric pressure. What are your stft's doing?

i dont have dashhawk to monitor my engine, but im sure all bolts and clamps r tight.

I'm in the exact same boat. AFR is around 15.5:1 at idle and my boost is only around 13 or 14, maybe 15. Target from Cobb AP should be 19.5 for me.

Could this be caused by a bad or dirty egr valve? You think you would get related codes though....

Which intake do you have? I have a COBB one and before i was tuned, it would throw a CEL for too lean every so often. This happens with some cars and it's not really a leak, you just gotta calibrate your MAF, which means you need an AP.

After you calibrate it and bring your fuel trims to 0, the KR goes down and you don't see the CEL anymore. You really gotta invest in a Dashawk or the AP to see what's really wrong before buying parts that won't fix your problem. Also, make sure if you indeed have a BOV and not a BPV, to put it in recirc. mode until you can tune.

As far as boost, the stock tune usually doesn't allow anything above 16psi but i don't know if the DP/RP will make you go past that. Check your BOV/BPV to make sure it's not leaking or choose a stiffer setting to hold boost better but i'm sure that's not the problem.

So invest in a monitoring device and if your trims are outta whack, best thing to do is to try the stock air box and see if your trims go down. If it does, then it's simply a matter of calibration.

when mine was suffering from a bad purge valve it was throwing the P2187 code, hard starting, especially hard starting and rough idle immediately after filling the gas tank. it was also show fuel trims of 12 to 25% at idle. There was some hesitation at times, and a strange whistle through the intake @ high speeds (100mph+), if your symptoms are similar and having a hard time holding max boost psi then it really sounds like the purge valve solenoid assembly, or leaking hose in the purge system.

It took me several trips to the dealership before they finally figured it out. Funny part was, I mentioned that it sure sounded like purge valve to me, but they went and did a bunch of other stuff first, like new maf sensor, new 02 sensor, another maf sensor, and finally on the 4th trip the purge valve.

Hi, Super Unique!
When you said "hard starts" - what did you mean exactly? Sometimes I have start problems like it starts normally, but after 2-4 seconds engine begins to shake a little and it stops just by himself. Second (or third) run goes normally.

tried pulling your MAF out and cleaning it? I was getting P2188 a while back and thats all I needed to do.

MAF is clean, I used to clean it each 3-4 months or so. Looks like it's EGR or purge valve malfunction, but I failed reproducing it on dealership visit.
I discover it quite rear, with specific gasoline and only when starting after long period of staying (at morning or when I go back home from work).

eigther one failed would it cause boost cut/fuel cut? have u ever noticed that or experienced?
