P% turbo upgrade

i bought a tsi turbo upgrade kit for my car and have about 90% of it done. all i ahve left to do is the fuel and the intercooler. i want to send my car to someone to do the fuel but dont want to pay 200+ dollars on a tow truck (i have no way to get my car somewhere on a trailer, all my friends have cars) so i was wondering if i could leave the turbo unconnected to the car. by this i mean, can i leave the manifold on, hook up the water lines, hook up oil, hook up intercooler and charge piping, but not actually put the plumbing from the inbtercooler to the throttle body, and just use the stock air box to supply the air to the throttle, essentially leaving the turbo out of the loop, but still running and working. (i would still have a filter on the turbo itself, just nowhere for the air to get into the system)

would this hurt my car in any way? also, would it damage the turbo/manifold in any way? thanks

Ok I'm not really sure of everything but let me try, You want to drive the car with the turbo set up but not run the charge pipe to the throtle body. What about the MAF, your going to run the car with the MAF direct to the throtle body? I wouldn't run it with the turbo on and no pipes connected, you can overspool the turbo with it trying to make boost. It will work it's hardest and fry the bearing.

the farthest i would drive her would be about 10-15 miles to my mechanic that was supposed to do it

how is it $200+ for a 10-15 minute tow? if that's the case just go down to your AAA and buy one of their plans for less, say your car broke down and have it towed

the place i live in is weird. im outside of town limits, so the normal plan doesnt cover it. but ill look into upgrading my AAA membership

i called one of those discount towing people. 45 hookup, 4 buks a mile. not as bad as i said before, but im still gonna have to take it up the ass

where would i put the tow strap? i dont have tow hooks like the halo warhog (id LOVE to have one of those btw)

u could tie the strap to the subfram of the car.. just tell ur buddy not to jurk the car..

your mechanic should tow it for you since he's gonna work on it
