So my car has been over heating and the coolant reservoir tank has been boiling up sometimes even spitting out coolant from the tank. i replaced the thermostat yesterday, but that did not solve the problem. Anyone had this happen to them before?? please help!!

check the radiator cap. if the cap is not holding pressure, the coolant will boil over.

as per above, check the cap.

also check all your hoses and clamps. any leaks or loose fittings will prevent the system from operating properly under pressure.

I have been battling overheating myself all summer. The car never overheats on the gauge but about a minute after shutdown the overflow starts bubbling and it can rise to the point it overflows. I have burped the system multiple times so I know it isn't an air bubble and the thermostat is no more than a year old. I have two 12" slim fans wired to the stock wiring that only runs one fan unless the AC is on. This is also with a full size Mishimoto radiator and 19lb. cap. I was originally thinking the fan wasn't pulling enough air to cool the car but now i'm leaning towards the water pump going out and not being able to adequately circulate the coolant so it gets hot pockets of coolant that eventually work their way to into the radiator and cause the bubbling shortly after shutdown.
