Oval country symbols/stickers

For those of you that have been to Europe or overseas, I am sure you have noticed the oval shaped stickers in the back of vehicles.
They are an abreviation of the vehicle s country of origin/registration and sometimes the driver' s roots.
How good are you in geography?

Hmm, I thought Germany's abbrev. was DE. At least that's how it is when you ship something there.

the right column for countries, does not match other columns after just a few countries down the list.
