Canada was a good time, besides the cavity search coming back at the border. They wouldn't believe me that I drove from Portland to BC just for the day. Luckily they overlooked the dead hooker and 8 kilos of coke I had in the trunk.

Rofl... same thing as every other forum and meet... Granted it is mothers day... Somewhat poor choice in weekends... But for those who aren't spending family time... and who don't have to work.... and who do have a ride... but arn't going because....

Very sad... But i'll stop there... had a big up-rising on the other forum and meet thread because it was 5th of may.. and everyone wanted to go drinking the night before the meet and couldn't wake up in time to make it.. or.... just didn't feel like it.... Pretty lame if you ask me... consider I still had a great BBQ on the 5th.. and drank / partied just fine...

Anyway... I hope enough people do end up going... The Subaru / Evo community had a really poor turn-out in salem... would be nice to see mazda do better!

Anyone else bringing a video camera? Not sure if there'll be any good shots or not, but I have 2 digital camcorders that I could loan out to people for different shots. If there's anything cool it'd be neat to throw a short vid together like all the other hardcore Mazda groups.

My camera takes short vid clips... does a decent job... I'll have my laptop or ipod I can transfer the files onto... often.... so could eventually put together a decent vid probably....

Like you said... mostly depends on if there is anything to shoot or not... I think most "good" footage would be in the area of... police action... which we don't want =)

Hey if any of you folks got walkie talkies bring them 2 . It might be nice to have everyone looking out for any problems and relay them through the group. I have 4 so I'll make sure they are charged up

I have a set of Walkie-Talkies, I use them when my daughter rides her bike, cheaper than a cell phone and I'm the only one she can call.
Good idea though to have at least 2 sets, I know they have saved people from a few tickets before or getting lost.
